it has been a while

So I have not updated this in a while! We have had a busy life since the start of December. Mily had a great Christmas, we visited TN and had a good time. Mily got a walker which is her favorite thing ever.

And for the new year Mily stayed up just long enough to watch the ball drop and then she was out. Then in February Mily witnessed her very first snow! We got about 7 inches, which is the most snow I have ever seen besides snow skiing.

She wasn't to sure about the snow.

Oh and when Mily turned 7 months she started sleeping in her crib like a big girl and she loves it. She is such a sweet and happy baby. She is now saying "hey" "dada" and occasionally "momma". She has no desire to crawl so she just rolls everywhere. She LOVES sitting on the bed when I am making it up, if I make it up without her she gets mad at me. Mily has 2 teeth all the way on on the bottom and 2 more that just broke through on the top. She has also started going through the whole separation anxiety thing to where I can't even go to the with bathroom without her following me in her walker. She sleeps from about 10 P.M. to 7 A.M. And today we had her 9 month well check up and she was 27 inches long which puts her in the 32 percentile, and 16.9 lbs which puts her in the 13%, and her head is 17 inches long and that is the 60%. So she is skinny and has a big head haha.

toothies!

Mily is 6 months 1 week and 1 day old (as of yesterday) which is when her very first tooth came through! She was so good the whole day and I didn't even know one was coming through! She never fusses except when she is tired, but every now and then she would whimper but I didn't think much about it.  But it is on the bottom left side and just the tip is through.  I tried taking a picture of it but you can't see anything at all.  I am so excited but sad because my little gummy baby isn't gummy anymore.  She is growing up.

6 months & turkey day!

So this past week was Mily's very first Thanksgiving.  The celebration started Wed when Mily's Nana, Great Uncle Allen, and Cuncles Brice and Matthew got here.  Then later that night Mily's Great Aunt Kim and Great Uncle Jake got here.  And Mily stayed up past her bedtime just to see them when they got here, and of course they brought her a Tennessee onesie.  Then Thursday morning we all woke up to a fantastic breakfast that Nana made.  And around lunchtime Mily's Great Aunt Jan and Great Uncle Remy got here just in time to eat the giant feast! We had such a good time hanging out with all of them and of course Mily absolutely loved all the attention.

Everything wore her out!

Then Sat Mily experienced her very first of many Gamecock wins over Clemson.

So needless to say we had a very enjoyable Thanksgiving week.  Mily turned 6 months on Monday!  It is so crazy that she is already half a year, I can't believe how fast time is going by.  She started her rice cereal at 5 months old and she has really enjoyed it and taken to the spoon very fast.  Her usual sleep schedule is from about 8:30 pm to 7:00 am, so she is doing great.  She is almost sitting up by herself, she still has trouble with her balance.  Her favorite thing to do is to stand up, and look around at everything.  She is becoming so aware of everything going on around her.  At her doctor appointment today she weighed 14.35 lbs and was 25 1/4 inches long.  She is about the 30th percentile in about everything which is good.  We are going to start her on yellow and orange veggies this week too!  So I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

5 months already

So Mily will be 5 months tomorrow, which is crazy!  It seems like it was just yesterday that she was born.  I took her to the doctor in Tuesday for them to check her out because she has had horrible gas and just hasn't been herself and they said she was healthy.  I decided to switch her formula to the Isomil, which is soy, to help with her gas and spitting up.  Oh, and when we were at the doctor she weighed 13.1 pounds.  So she has gained 10 pounds since her lowest weight after she was born.  Also while we were at the doctor he told me to start trying to feed her cereal, so we have tried it once this week and she hasn't seemed that into it.  She just kept pushing the spoon out with her tongue, but towards the end she started getting the hang of it.

A few weekends ago I bought her a jumper.  She will play in it and watch it light up, and she jumps every now and then but she doesn't quiet get it.  Her little feet don't touch the ground so I have some of my old yearbooks under her.
She can also some what stand up with my assistance, but she has to be in the mood.  Her sleeping has stayed about the same, last night she went to bed around 10:30 and slept till 8:30, which is good.  Gradually as we incorporate the cereal into her diet she should start sleeping more.  The doctor said when she gets to eating it 3 times day then she will start sleeping from about 8 -8 or 7-7, so I am looking forward to that.

Love doesn't make the world go 'round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile <3

Mily is now 4 months and 2 weeks old.  I just bought her a little mat that has toys hanging down from it and she loves playing with it.  She has found her hands and plays with them and stares at them and she lifts her feet up while she is laying on her back.  She has continued to sleep amazing at night.  And she has become a big talker and loves when people talk to her.  She has become very good at saying "ohh" and she has started giggling a lot.  She loves going for walks in her stroller and rides in the car.  She also likes to cheer for the Gamecocks during their games.

Everyone has someone in their life that keeps them looking forward to another day.

Mily turned 4 months yesterday! And we had her 4 month check-up today, which went very well.  She is 23 3/4 in long and 11.10 lbs.  She is in the 31 percentile of 4 month old baby girls in length, which is amazing.  No one would be able to tell that she was 2 months early! She is developing such a social personality.  She loves attention and when people talk to her she just smiles and talks right back to them.  She has the cutest little smile, with her chubby cheeks and and dimples! She loves bath time and splashing around in the tub.  We got her pictures taken tonight, which she wouldn't smile that much while we were taking pics but when got out to the car she was all smiles! We go Sat to get some more done, so hopefully she will smile big for those.  She still loves to sleep in my bed with me, but we are getting to where she sleeps in her pack-n-play until she wakes up around 6 to eat and then I put her in my bed.  She is a good snuggler if she wants to be, but sometimes she will scoot over and if I am touching her she is squeal until I move over.  She usually ends up taking the whole bed and I have just enough room to lay on my side.  It still amazes me that she is my daughter that she is part of me.  I never thought my life would be like this but I absolutely love it and would not have it any other way.

a gamecock baby :D

Mily is 14 weeks old!  She is starting to fit tightly into her newborn outfits, but the 0-3 outfits are still way big on her.  She has recently discovered her tongue and she plays with it pretty much all the time.  She has also been sleeping really great.  She will go down about 11 and then wake up between 5 and 6 to eat then go back to sleep till about 10.  She is able to go longer without eating but she isn't eating much more at the feedings, which is fine with me.  She has gotten to where she can hold her head up pretty much all the time all by herself.  She has also started wanting to hold onto things, like she will fall asleep holding her socks in her hand.  This past Thursday we went to her first Gamecock football party.  She has USC outfits but they are still to big so she just wore her bib, but she was super cute.

This past week she also rolled over for real this time.  She was laying on the bed and I was standing next to the bed folding her clothes and talking to her and she kept trying to roll over to look at me and then she finally did! I was very proud of her we did a little celebration dance.  She is still smiling like crazy, and she is very ticklish like under her neck and her chubby little thighs :)  and she is still loving her swing she just sits in there and swings and watches me do stuff around the room.  I was looking through the pictures of when she was in the hospital and its amazing how small she was, I have been so blessed that she was so healthy and strong and that she is continuing to stay healthy.
